Senior experts and decision makers of armed forces, police, public/civilian administration, NGOs/civil society organizations active in peacekeeping and international crisis management

The six-day training course by the Austrian Study Centre for Peace and Conflict Resolution prepares senior decision-makers of armed forces, police, political bodies and non-governmental organizations, as well as individual civilian experts involved in peacekeeping and/or international crisis Management at the operational Level for the challenges in protecting civilian populatins in contexts or the aftermath of armed conflict. Graduates of this course will be provided with a comprehensive understanding of the multiple dimensions and meanings of the protection of civilians. They will have enhanced knowledge of the actors and their roles and responsibilities in the subject matter and be in position to identify Options for coordination and synergies in the implementation of protection for civilians.
