ISSAT and the Association for Security Sector Reform Education and Training collaborate closely on training and capacity development programmes supporting international SSR capacity on the field and on policy levels. Together, they aim to build talents and technical know-hows targeting governments, civil society, donors and other stakeholders.
The African Security Sector Network is a pan-African network of academics and practitioners based in Accra, Ghana working on Security Sector Reform over the continent. ISSAT supports the network’s efforts in striving towards a transformation of the African justice and security sectors while providing policy advice and knowledge production, as well as, capacity development and advocacy.
A Swedish government agency dedicated to the support of international crisis management, focusing on peace operations, the Folke Bernadotte Academy is active in the fields of training and capacity building on SSR, development of tools and methodologies but also international cooperation and mission field support. Together, ISSAT and FBA, work towards contributing to the global dialogue on security sector reform, facilitating partnerships and fostering national ownership.
