The protection of your data is very important to us. Some services on this website require us to collect personal information from you. To comply with the Data Protection Act, we have a duty to tell you how we store the information we collect and how it is used. Any information you do submit will be stored securely and will never be passed on or sold to any third party.
The majority of our main pages (ISSAT, Learn, Share) can be browsed freely and without any requirement to register any personal data. Our online Resource Library is also open to the public and free of any constraints for browsing resources.
Certain pages of our website such as the Community of Practice and the elearning spaces are protected by log-in and password information. We are obliged to restrict access to those pages because they allow online interaction between our community members (blog and forum), we need to be able to issue personalised training completion certificates, and to understand the community we are extending services to (training and outreach).
When personal data is required from you to register (name, family name, mini-biography, username and password), this information is protected from third parties. We are obliged to ask you for this information inorder to protect the identity and domain of interest for our community of SSR practitioners. We are not otherwise able to assess your commitment and competence allowing you to be a member of the community. We do not sell or share this information unless you give us your explicit consent or we are required to do so legally.
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. Google Analytics evaluates your use of our website, compiling reports on our website activity. Please note that our website uses Google Analytics for statistical reports and never traces any activity to a specific user.
Log files capture users' IP address. Aggregated analysis of these log files is used to monitor website usage. These analyses may be made available to ISSAT-DCAF staff and system maintenance partners to allow them to measure, for example, overall popularity of the site and typical user paths through the site. Log files older than 30 days are purged. ISSAT-DCAF will make no attempt to identify individual users based on logs. All log information collected by our website is kept secure.
We don’t store any personal information in your browser’s cookies. We store session related information which are necessary for normal web site operation.
