Support to UK - Programme Design on Inclusive Security

01/10/2020 - 01/12/2020

Target country

Mandator

UK’s CSSF is currently scoping a new programme on inclusive security in Jordan. The programme will look at youth/community relationships with security actors through a violence prevention lens and using Youth, Peace and Security as a possible policy framework. Amongst other aspects, this programme aims to balance focus away from institution focus towards the demand for security. The programme will be designed in the context of high volatility and potential future violence.

Outcome objectives of mandate

ISSAT’s support is requested to provide knowledge generation assistance, focusing on community security challenges, issues and gaps, as well as increase UK’s CSSF team’s understanding of community/security actors relationships.

ISSAT’s line of knowledge products on Top Security & Safety Vulnerabilities, which focus on a context and pull out the key community security and safety issues, would be relevant to this request, enabling the CSSF team to develop the future programme’s concept note.

In addition to the above product, ISSAT would provide any guidance, tools and background research on the issue of community safety in Jordan.
