The International Academy Bramshill is part of the National Police Improvement Agency of the United Kingdom police service, working with police and governments around the world to improve global security. It provides learning and development for police and other security and justice sector agencies through overseas projects and flagship programmes offered at Bramshill for senior police leaders who wish to train in the UK. Whilst it specialises in leadership development, the International Academy also acts as a gateway to access specialist skills and expertise within the UK police service. Proceeds of crime and forensics specialists have recently been added to the team to increase the specialist knowledge offered to the international policing community. In our aim to improve policing and public safety globally we have formed strong and mutually beneficial links with countries throughout the world and would welcome the opportunity to build new partnerships to further these goals.
The Joint International Policing Hub was officially launched in March 2017 to enhance the coherence and coordination of the UK’s non-operational international policing assistance activity. It works across UK government, police and law enforcement agencies to develop the UK’s international policing capability and develop strategic bilateral and multilateral relationships. The JIPH for the first time provides a single gateway for domestic and global stakeholders to access UK international policing.
