Community Policing: From Evidence to Policy Making

- ,

Join FHI 360 and the Evidence in Governance and Politics (EGAP) network for a presentation and discussion of results from six new field experiments, carried out in coordination, that assess whether an informal model of police-community interaction changes the level of trust in the police, levels of observed cooperation and rates of crime.
This research is part of EGAP’s Metaketa Initiative, which is a coordinated research model designed to foster innovation and cumulative learning through simultaneous replication of research across multiple contexts. The community policing experiments took place in Brazil, Colombia, Liberia, Pakistan, Philippines and Uganda.
