SSR Glossary

The structure of the government in a given state, characterised by the rule of the majority. The supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections.

Activities which lead to the removal of mine and unexploded ordnance (UXO) hazards, including technical surveys, mapping, clearance, marking, post-clearance documentation, community mine action liaison and the handover of cleared land.
