DCAF/ISSAT a développé une série de cours en ligne qui sont disponibles pour les professionnels qui travaillent actuellement sur, ou sont intéressés par, la réforme du secteur de sécurité et/ou des sujets dans le domaine de la sécurité, la défense, la police, la justice la gestion des conflits et les opérations de maintien de la paix. Tous les cours comprennent des ressources supplémentaires tels que des documents de politique générale, des publications, des vidéos, des podcasts et/ou des simulations visant à fournir aux participants des connaissances pratiques sur le sujet. Les participants recevront un certificat à la fin de chaque cours.

Developed in collaboration with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), this course provides participants with an understanding and overview of SSR, its key principles, actors and contexts within which SSR takes place. Drawing on insights from experienced practitioners, the course provides participants with a solid introduction to international good practice, including both the political and technical aspects of SSR, and the importance of adopting a holistic approach. It underlines the main skills required to support SSR and provides the necessary foundations for subsequent courses conducted by DCAF/ISSAT and its partners.

Target audience: Designers of field initiatives, managers of country programmes and current/ future advisors who will be deployed outside their country of origin.

Developed in collaboration with the United States Institute for Peace (USIP), this course will help participants to develop skills as an effective advisor by providing practical recommendations and guidance on issues such as understanding the role of an advisor, working with local actors and functioning in complex environments. The course also includes a simulation exercise that recreates the various stages of an advisory function.

Target audience: Designers of field initiatives, managers of country programmes and current/ future advisors who will be deployed outside their country of origin.
