International Development Law Organisation
IDLO was founded in 1983 by a group of lawyers working in international development agencies in Africa. IDLO provides developing countries, countries in economic transition and those emerging from armed conflict with the resources, tools and professional skills to establish or strengthen the rule of law and good governance practices.
International Institute of Humanitarian Law
The International Institute of Humanitarian Law is an independent, non-profit, humanitarian organisation founded in 1970. Its headquarters are situated in Villa Ormond, Sanremo (Italy). The main purpose of the Institute is to promote international humanitarian law, human rights, refugee law and related issues. Thanks to its specific, well-tested experience, the Institute has earned an international reputation as a centre of excellence in the field of training, research, and the dissemination of all aspects of international humanitarian law.Considering the aims it pursues, the Institute works in close collaboration with the most important international organisations dedicated to the humanitarian cause, including the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the International Organization for Migration (IOM). It has operational relations with the EU, UNESCO, NATO, OIF (International Francophony Organisation), and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. It has consultative status with the United Nations (ECOSOC) and participatory status with the Council of Europe.
NATO Defense College
The mission of the NDC is to contribute to the effectiveness and cohesion of the Alliance by developing its role as a major centre of education, outreach and research on transatlantic security issues.
To foster forward and creative strategic thinking on the key issues facing the Alliance, the NDC:
a. Provides senior-level education and brings together senior-level military and civilian officials to interact on NATO issues in a unique, diverse and multicultural setting while cultivating multi-national consensus-building and providing opportunities for multinational networking;
b. Engages in comprehensive outreach in support of Alliance strategic objectives;
c. Conducts strategic security studies and research in support of the Alliance's wider goals.
European Center of Sustainable Development
European Center of Sustainable Development ECSDEV is an international, cross-disciplinary research center founded in Rome Italy on February 10, 2010. The ECSDEV's main areas of research range from developmental economics to urban planning and more.
Publication
ECSDEV produces a variety of publications, among them is the European Journal of Sustainable Development,a double blinded peer-reviewed open access journal. EJSD was established as the official journal of ECSDEV, to provide an international forum for debates among diverse disciplines, such as human development, environmental and energy economics, health education studies, and related fields
ECSDEV organizes the ICSD International Conference on Sustainable Development in Rome Italy. The ICSD is inspired from the critical challenge of human, environmental, and economic sustainability concerning the present and future generations in a global-scale context.
ECSDEV has opted for a model in which wider availability is favored by the Open Access Policy .
