Sida recently requested ISSAT support to conduct a mapping of its SSR portfolio. The key purpose of this mapping is to provide Sida with a baseline understanding of the nature of its SSR programming which targets the core of SSR including security and justice institutional reform and governance and accountability aspects of the security and justice actors. The mapping will look across Sida’s geographic portfolios, covering the period of 2013-2018.
Mandate outputs / products
- A methodological report on conducting a head-quarter based mapping of donor’s security, justice and governance portfolio;
- A mapping report providing clear overview of SIDA’s security, justice and governance engagements, including preliminary comment on gaps, opportunities, and how to make programming early in the conflict cycle more focussed on conflict prevention.
Intended immediate outcomes of mandate
- It is intended that this mapping provide some signposting as to gaps, opportunities and suggestions from Sida’s programming on how could SSR programming be more targeted at conflict prevention.
