Fredrik Wallin is a Junior Professional Officer in ISSAT’s Outreach and Knowledge Team.
His role includes research assistance for a stocktaking study on the security sector’s role in climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction and environmental protection. Fredrik is mainly contributing to the development of a methodology, the drafting of reports as well as providing support in logistics.
Prior to taking up this role in 2022, Fredrik had worked as a student research assistant at the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich, after which he was an intern in the multilateral section of the Embassy of Switzerland in the Netherlands.
Fredrik holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Biology from the University of Zurich, and spent a semester abroad at Linnaeus University in Växjö, Sweden. He is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in International Relations/Political Science at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies.
Fredrik speaks German, English, French, and decent Swedish, Spanish, Dutch and is currently learning Italian.
